Appraisal course to be offered at NYSAR Business Meetings

Real estate appraisers attending NYSAR's Fall Business Meetings September 14-17 at the Saratoga Hilton in Saratoga Springs, NY can sign up to take "Appraisal Report Writing Formats for Private and Lender Clients" on Monday, Sept. 15.

The course, which will be held from 2-5 p.m., has been submitted to the New York State Department of State for three hours of appraiser and real estate continuing education credit.

In this course, instructor Domenic Zagaroli, GAA, ITI, will discuss the differences between a private appraisal assignment and mortgage lending appraisals. Attendees will discuss and analyze various types of reporting options via case studies.

The NYSAR Fall Business Meetings will offer a full schedule of events, including committee meetings and a presentation by NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun as part of the Association Update program. Apply for the John J. Noto Memorial Scholarship Award

NYSSREA is currently accepting applications for the John J. Noto Memorial Scholarship Award. NYSSREA instituted a scholarship program in hopes of stimulating interest in the challenging, complex and ever-changing profession of real estate valuation.

Applicants must have one year experience in real estate appraisal, brokerage, development or other related disciplines, and/or hold an appraiser assistant license.

This applicant must:

  • Show positive motivation toward real estate appraisal education.
  • Operate out of an office in New York State.
  • Have successfully completed, within the last five years, at least one real estate related course acceptable to the society.
