Spring and Fall Conferences

Each year NYSSREA holds two major appraisal conferences in New York State. The "Fall Conference" is traditionally held in the central region of the state and the "Spring Conference" is held in the Lower Hudson Valley region of the state.

The conferences are an excellent opportunity for members and non-members to network with fellow appraisers, learn the latest trends in real estate valuation, earn appraiser continuing education credit and much more.

During each conference a raffle is held to raise money for Camp Good Days and Special Times, a camp for children with life-threatening illnesses. All proceeds from ticket sales are donated to the camp.

The 2010 Fall Appraisal Conference will be held October 6-8 at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, NY. The courses offered are:

2010-2011 7-Hour National USPAP Update Course
Instructed by Jim Murrett, MAI, SRA

The 2010-2011 USPAP course focuses on changes to USPAP for 2010 and 2011 and on appraisal issues that affect daily appraisial practice. It is unique in that it is developed by The Appraisal Foundation with the assistance from the Education Council of Appraisal Foundation Sponsors and is revised on a periodic basis to stay current with the latest edition of USPAP.
*All appraisers are required to complete a 7-hour National USPAP Update Course in order to renuew their license/certification*
